It’s been a very busy first two days of July for us here at PEG. Yesterday, we finally got the keys to our new office space in the heart of downtown Akron’s Entertainment District.
Now, if you know me, you know that I’m the kind of guy that loves this big picture kind of stuff. It’s actually the reason that I love doing marketing/branding related projects. So for me, a new office represents a clean slate and a chance to really have fun and get creative. I see an office as an extension of a company’s brand. I think that the type of place that you work in is indicative of the type of work that you produce.
Also if you know me, you know that I’m quite possibly the least handy person of all time. It’s a flaw… I love leading and watching projects come to fruition. Unfortunately, in this case there’s not a lot of insight and help that I can provide to get it there, except for vision. Though I might add that I did a darn fine job peeling the previous tenant’s decals off of the windows… It’s all that they’d trust me with.
Fortunately, we have a great construction team on our side, led by Randy Ferrari and we also have a phenomenal interior designer, Dana Weiss. Both of them have made sure that the ship is being steered in the right direction and that our team will have a great, modern place to work for years to come.
Anyway, before I get back to work (aka pointing at things), here’s a look at some pictures of the construction progress as of today…
